A Special Recipe from Iran - Ranginak

My friend Diba has spent a special healthy recipe.

The name of the recipe is Ranginak.

My name is Ranganayaki and my friend's recipe matches my name and matches my taste :)

Get ready to make the Iranian Recipe Ranginak.

What you need

- 20 dates pitted

- 20 pistachio kernels, or walnuts

- 1 cup plain flour

- 100 gms butter

- 1 tsp. powdered cardamom

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

- 1/4 cup powdered sugar

What you do

Stuff the dates with pistachio or walnuts.

Reshape the dates.

Arrange the dates in a tray, apart from each other.

Melt butter in a pan, add flour, fry, stirring all the time until the flour turns golden brown.

Pour the fried flour by spoon on top of each date, try to cover it well.

Now mix the powdered sugar, cardamom and cinnamon.

Sift on the dates to cover them.

Decorate with a little green pistachio (optional) .

Another Option

Arrange the dates in a serving plate, close together, then pour the fried flour on top.

Sprinkle the powdered sugar, cardamom and cinnamon mixture on top.

Let it cool. Cut into diamonds or squares, and serve.
